First Hanging in Ashgrove Coffee Shop
Stop Sixteen coffee shop in Ashgrove is the
venue for the very first hanging of photos taken by Meg Duckworth of
Meg Duckworth Photography and FotoMasters.
The exhibition entitled “Sun Kissed Waves
and Other Coastal Delights” will feature some of Meg’s favourite photos
from coastal regions of Australia and New Zealand and all photos
hanging will be for sale.
The exhibition will be hanging at Stop
Sixteen, 215 Waterworks Rd., Ashgrove from Saturday February 23 for a
three week period in which customers will be able to enjoy the custom
framed photos over their leisurely cup of coffee anytime between 6 am
and closing time.
According to Meg she has been encouraged by
family and friends to exhibit her photos and the recent advent of the
coffee shop Stop Sixteen has provided her with a venue for her very
first exhibition, because the owner of Stop Sixteen Morena Nina has
generously offered the walls of her shop to emerging artists to display
their work.
After the hanging Morena thanked Meg for
bringing the beach to her shop. Morena said “This is the closest I will
be to the beach for the next six months as I am devoting my time to
building my coffee shop business.” Due to popular demand Stop Sixteen
is now open 7 days per week.
Meg’s photos have been custom framed with
loving care by her husband Barry who is the framer for Meg’s business
FotoMasters, a photo montaging and collaging business located in
Bridgeman Downs.
