Although a little late this year Barry and I wish everyone a Happy New Year.

2007 was an exciting time for us in that we finally made a break from the Picturegraph Franchise System and established our own FotoMasters brand of Digital Art Solutions for your Special Photos.

This meant we had to create new products and we believe we now provide a range that more neatly fits with our clients requirements at an affordable price.  Of course you should now that we now accept all sorts of work and we specialise in the unusual or unique requests form our clients.

We print all our work locally, photos are printed as an archival quality photograph on Kodak Endura paper which is guaranteed to last for the next 100 years at least more like 120 years.

As many of our clients are seeking a Digital Art Solution to keep as a family history record we believe that this will ensure the work will be around into the 2100's.   Now thats longer than I will be around so that really sets one thinking.

Our canvases are also printed locally and are supplied with a coating to reduce wear and tear and the effects of humidity on the final work.

In this short period since the Festive Season we have made a major upgrade to our IT systems so that we can provide a faster turnaround (all depends now on the workload, speed and availability of the Designer) and more secure storage for all our client files.  The Data transfer is now complete and we are just busy cleaning up all the minor issues arising from the upgrade.

We must thank our three IT Specialist sons for the idea, design and upgrade support (all the way from London via Skype)..... without that assistance we would still be dinosaurs and not the nerds we now feel we are... of course we have a way to go before would consider ourselves geeks <very large grins>.

Here are a few of Our Special Photos from our New Years Day part of which was spent on Mount Hotham in Victoria... its was like being on the top of the world and far from the heat and humidity of Brisbane at this time of year... just a magic day!!

Keep watching the website I hope to have some of these photos used for products to be available later in 2008.

Almost on top of Australia at 1861m above sea level.

February 2008
Hi all,
February so far has been a very busy month for us as we have been preparing for a new venture the launch of Meg Duckworth Photography.

We have our very first exhibition titled "Sun Kissed Waves and Other Coastal Delights" featuring at Stop Sixteen Coffee shop in Waterworks Rd, Ashgrove, an inner northern suburb of Brisbane.

We have also created two new pages on this site for Meg Duckworth Photography to provide a special place for photos featuring in the exhibition and news of new ventures for photo sales.

March 2008
I had a wake up call recently, a potential client rang to say that although i had referred her to this website she could not find it.  I said that's strange and immediately jumped on line to make sure the site was up and yes of course it was.  She then said that she was a Telstra Bigpond customer and she had rung them to see if they could find it and they couldn't find it either.

Eventually I thought to ask her how she was spelling it and I found that she was using PhotoMasters rather than FotoMasters .

Its always the simple and obvious things we  forget to check!!

I was telling Barry this tale and he suggested we make appropriate changes to the website to make sure it came up with either spelling if a Google search was done.   I have just done that so I will keep checking back to make sure it now works.

April 2008
Well late March and early April  have flown along with work coming in from all sorts of sources.

We have had our very first corporate client and in record time we produced a FotoRama to celebrate the retirement of the Chairman of Raine & Horne Qld, Mr Tony Atkinson.

Their Chief Executive Officer has been very kind and has provided us with a lovely testimonial letter which I have reproduced on our new Testimonials page.  Our thanks to Stephen and Lyn for their assistance.

We have also had a request for work from Farmer Joe's at Kedron who are celebrating winning the Fresh Tastes Retailer of the Year 2007 from Brisbane Markets.  We congratulate David and his team on this achievement, we know only too well how it feels to win such an accolade as we won Best New Picturegraph Franchise in 2005 when we were part of that organisation.
